Driving the Website Sign around the Southwest!

Hey everybody! I know you all have been waiting for this. Well here it is! The story: We made this incredibly ugly ostentatious sign and put it on a flatbed trailer. Then we drove it around the Southwestern U.S. to promote the site. It was a wonderful vacation during which we went to 4 Nat'l Parks in 8 days. The weather was incredible and the old Durango ran like a champ. We went about 1700 miles total and spent about $540 on gas. We got about 13 mpg's. Food was in about the same neighborhood. We had 6 people along, so overall it was a pretty economical trip. Even with the crazy gas prices! Everyone loved the sign! We had people on the highway pass us honking and yelling, IT WAS COOL! Another interesting phenomenon was that, whenever someone passed us, they got over!!!! Just more proof the concept works. If we can get out there with bumper stickers and shirts, people will get more aware. Just like my kids at Mesa Verde, they were learning whether they liked it or not! (I love that place) I spoke to no less than 5 cops who thought the concept was a positive thing. We are Rockin'!! Hey everybody, get off your butts and download a car video. Everybody has a favorite on their hard drive. Let's grow this thing! Thank you all for your support, You're the best. Chris

morons
I found out about this site when I was in Colorado this summer and saw the trailer with the sign. My first impression was that this was probably promoted by those that want to drive faster than the speed limit no matter what the road conditions and dont want anyone in the way. The drivers that are similar to the video winner of the week (12/10/08) LLH (Left Lane Hogs). By the way I do keep right unless passing slower vehicles. However, I do pass those slower vehicles while I am traveling at the speed limit. I find it Ironic that this video winner of the week is obviously violating most of the alleged violations that are listed in your violation report page. Those would be: speeding, tailgating, unsafe lane change, weaving in and out of traffic, erratic driving, reckless driving, and most likely, no signal. Every day when I drive to work I have morons right on my rear end trying to push me past the slower vehicle(s) on the right that I am passing. What is really amazing is that it is rush hour and they want to fly by me so they can get to the next traffic jam over the hill where traffic is at a dead standstill or barely moving. The minute the speed starts to pick up the moronic speeders weave through traffic and create another point of congestion and themselves becoming one of the main causes of the traffic jam. RELAX. Slow down. Dont exceed the speed limit. Leave one car length for each 10 mph that you are moving between your car and the car in front of you. When the roads are saturated during rush hour and other times accept the fact that you wont even be able to drive the speed limit and quit trying to get ahead of everyone. Follow those simple guidelines and you will probably find that there are about 90% less fatalities on the freeways.
